Fantastic Beasts Reveals Fantastical New Art
Wizarding World fans may need to sit tight for another year until J.K. Rowling's Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find them will be released in theaters on November 18, 2016, but they were well-rewarded this afternoon when the first title treatment for the film was revealed. It's an impressive silver and gold affair that appears to be forged of steel with hints of the feathered and scaled beasts alike that our hero, the famed "magizoologist," Newt Scamander (played by Oscar winner Eddie Redmayne), will meet during his travels.
Fantastic Beasts is being written by Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling, though the series will take place decades before Harry and his pals ever entered Hogwarts, and centers around Professor Scamander's travels documenting the Wizarding World and meeting all the Fantastic Beasts it contains. Two of those (non-beasts) he befriends during his travels are Colin Farrell as Graves and Katherine Waterston as Porpentina Goldstein.
And perhaps just as exciting, fans now have a place to share their comments, chit-chat and photos as film production moves along. Several new social channels have been officially unveiled. Be sure to follow them all...The Beasts are Coming!
