Celebrate 80 Years of DC's Robin, Catwoman and The Joker
This year we celebrate 80 years since the first debut of Robin, Catwoman and The Joker in DC's comic books. Over the years, these beloved characters emerged from the world of print to the digital world of movies, TV, games and other media. Let's celebrate these iconic characters across eight decades of history:
ROBIN
Since the character's introduction in Detective Comics #38 on March 6, 1940, Robin has become an icon to millions of comic book fans, establishing the "sidekick" as a permanent part of comic book lore. Since a young Dick Grayson donned the distinctive yellow cape and domino mask, many have taken on the mantle of Robin, joining The Batman in his war on crime, while also growing into their own and taking on new adventures, both solo and as part of other super-teams like the Teen Titans, the Justice League and others.
To celebrate Robin the Boy Wonder's 80th anniversary, DC released a 100-page super spectacular #1 on March 11, 2020 that featured "Decade" variant covers and tribute art by comics' hottest artists, like Marv Wolfman and Tom Grummett, a history of Robin and more.

CATWOMAN
Catwoman has been baffling Gotham City's heroes, both masked and unmasked, from the very beginning.
Since the character first appeared alongside Batman in 1940’s Batman #1, Catwoman has become an icon to millions of comic book fans. The undeniable magnetism between Batman and Catwoman has been one of comics' most reliable constants: wherever Catwoman goes, Batman is sure to follow, if only to take her down. As deadly as she is beautiful, infamous cat burglar Selina Kyle uses her nine lives to walk the razor's edge between light and darkness in Gotham City.
To celebrate DC’s feline fatale, DC released a landmark 100-Page Comic Book called "Catwoman 80th Anniversary 100-Page Super Spectacular #1" on April 15, 2020 that is available at local comic retailers and digital retailers. The comic features the return of fan-favorite team of Ed Brubaker and Cameron Stewart, a selection of “decade” variant covers, tribute art by comics’ hottest artists and more.
