WBITVP Appoints Jean-Louis Blot to Lead Warner Bros.' Newly Launched TV Production Operations in France

(July 27, 2016 – Paris, France and London, U.K.) – Warner Bros. International Television Production has appointed industry veteran Jean-Louis Blot to lead the company’s production operations in France, it was announced today by Ronald Goes, Executive Vice President and Head of Warner Bros. International Television Production (WBITVP).

Jean-Louis Blot will be based in Paris, reporting directly to Ronald Goes, and will be responsible for setting up and running Warner Bros. International Television Production France (WBITVP France). In this new role, he will create, adapt and produce local television content for all French TV channels.

WBITVP France is part of WBITVP’s continuously expanding global network of TV production companies and will produce existing, internationally acclaimed, Warner Bros. and third party formats in France, as well as develop new formats for the French audience. WBITVP France aims to be a true business partner for all broadcasters, TV channels and other media clients in the French market.

Prior to Warner Bros., Blot spent eight years at BBC Worldwide Productions France where he produced a number of iconic programs for various channels, including “Dancing with the Stars” (TF1), “The Great French Bake Off” (M6) and “Top Gear France” (RMC Découverte). Before that, Blot spent fifteen years in various production and development roles, most recently at Air Productions (Banijay Group) as Head of Development and Executive Producer, and previously at API Productions, Endemol and FremantleMedia. Blot joins the company on September 1, 2016. Warner Bros. International Television Production (“WBITVP”) produces local scripted and non-scripted programming through its network of local production operations in 15 countries across the UK, Europe, South America, Australia and New Zealand. WBITVP’s production operations are responsible for both original programming as well as local versions of formats owned and controlled by the Warner Bros. Television Group, such as “The Bachelor,” “Little Big Shots,” “500 Questions,” “First Dates,” “Impractical Jokers” and “Who Do You Think You Are?.” Where WBITVP has no local production capability, it licenses Warner Bros. formats to third parties.
