The WB Rings In The New Year With Suspense And Irreverence

(December 10, 2001 – Burbank, CA) — In January, The WB will debut the new suspense thriller “GLORY DAYS” from Kevin Williamson (“Scream,” “Dawson’s Creek”) and new comedy hybrid “THE JAMIE KENNEDY EXPERIMENT” (“JKX”) starring charismatic film star and stand-up comic Jamie Kennedy (“Scream,” “Three Kings”). “JKX” bows Sunday, January 13 (8:00-8:30 p.m. ET) and “GLORY DAYS” Wednesday, January 16 (9:00-10:00 p.m. ET), it was announced by Jordan Levin, President, Entertainment for The WB. Infusing the suspense of “GLORY DAYS” with his trademark pop culture humor, Kevin Williamson brings a scary murder mystery to the small screen each week. The seemingly idyllic island town of Glory is a breeding ground for eerie events, bizarre happenings and peculiar inhabitants where truth is often stranger than fiction, and sometimes even deadly. “GLORY DAYS” takes over the post-“Dawson’s Creek” Wednesday timeslot from “Felicity,” which will air its Winter Finale episode on Wednesday, December 19 and then return to the schedule will all original episodes in April. The ensemble “GLORY DAYS” cast features Eddie Cahill (“Friends,” “Felicity”), Poppy Montgomery (“Blonde,” “Relativity”), Jay R. Ferguson (“Evening Shade,” “The In Crowd”), Amy Stewart (“E.R.”), newcomer Emily VanCamp, newcomer Ben Crowley, with Theresa Russell (“The Believer,” “Black Widow”) and Frances Fisher (“Titanic”). “JKX” irreverently pushes the sketch comedy, hidden-camera and practical joke formats to new extremes. Kennedy’s disarming personality, versatility and comedic acting skills combine to make this unique new series a sly combination of on-the-street sneak attacks and elaborate practical jokes. An ensemble of improv performers and surprise celebrity accomplices will help Kennedy in his shameless quest to catch unsuspecting “marks” in hilarious, embarrassing moments. “GLORY DAYS” was created by Kevin Williamson, who serves as executive producer. The series is produced by Dimension Television in association with Outerbanks Entertainment. From executive producers Jamie Kennedy, Fax Bahr & Adam Small (“MAD TV,” “In Living Color”), and Mike Karz (“Max Keeble’s Big Move”), “JKX” is produced by Bahr Small Productions and Karz Entertainment in association with Warner Bros.
