The WB Gets A Jump On The Fall Season With “The PJs,” Which Makes Its Network Debut On Friday, September 8
(August 15, 2000 – Burbank, CA) — The WB will kick-off its fall season with established animated comedy “THE PJs,” which will make its debut on The WB on Friday, September 8 at 8:30-9:00 p.m. ET. The show will again air in the Friday, 8:30-9:00 p.m. timeslot on September 15.
In addition, the series will join The WB’s new Sunday night line-up on September 10 at 8:30-9:00 p.m., in place of a currently scheduled run of “FOR YOUR LOVE,” which has been airing twice a week on Sundays this summer.
“THE PJs” has regularly scored in the top 10 among all series in males 12-34, male teens, female teens and total teens since its return to the Fox line-up after the May sweep period.
“We have been eagerly anticipating seeing ‘The PJ’s’ on our air since we acquired the series from Fox,” said Jordan Levin, Executive Vice President, Programming of The WB. “Our faith in this unique series, with broad cross-over appeal, has been confirmed this summer with its strong performance across several key demographics.”
The Emmy Award-winning “THE PJs” blends Eddie Murphy’s trademark comedy with the cutting-edge and vivid foamation style from The Will Vinton Studios. It offers a satirical look at urban living in a big city housing project and its array of quirky characters who form an extended family unlike any other on television.
