The WB Freshens Up Its Thursday And Friday Line-Ups As “Grounded For Life” Makes Its Network Debut On Friday, February 28
(February 4, 2003 – Burbank, CA) – The half-hour comedy “GROUNDED FOR LIFE,” starring Donal Logue and Megyn Price, will officially join The WB’s schedule with two original episodes airing at 8:30 p.m. ET and 9:30 p.m. ET on Friday, February 28.
The half-hour comedy will make its network debut at 8:30 p.m. ET. In addition, a second all-new episode will air at 9:30 p.m. ET, which will be the series’ regular time period, following The WB’s highest-rated comedy, “REBA.”
“GROUNDED FOR LIFE,” which is one of the 20 highest-rated shows on television this season in adults 18-34 and men 18-34, tells the story of Sean (Logue, “The Tao of Steve”) and Claudia (Price, “Lateline”) Finnerty, young parents who are still trying to find their own way in the world at the same time they’re raising a family.
Created by executive producers Bill Martin and Mike Schiff (“3rd Rock from the Sun”), “GROUNDED FOR LIFE” is produced by Carsey-Werner-Mandabach Productions, LLC. Jim O’Doherty, David Israel, Marcy Carsey, Tom Werner and Caryn Mandabach also serve as executive producers.
The current 8:30 p.m. Friday time-period occupant, “SABRINA, THE TEENAGE WITCH,” which consistently scored in its target demos for The WB on Friday nights, will switch over to Thursdays at 8:00 p.m. “SABRINA” will be followed by new episodes of first-year comedy “FAMILY AFFAIR” in its new time period at 8:30 p.m.
In addition, on Thursday, February 27, in conjunction with the annual Mardi Gras celebration, “JKX: THE JAMIE KENNEDY EXPERIMENT” will bring its unique brand of humor to the sinful city of New Orleans for a special one-hour episode from 9:00 p.m.-10:00 p.m. # # #
