“Scooby-Doo, Where Are You!” first made its debut during CBS’ Saturday morning lineup and became an instant hit. The series follows the adventures of Daphne, Fred, Shaggy, Velma and Scooby-Doo as they solve cases typically involving ghosts, monsters or other supernatural forces. Hi-jinks always ensue, with their investigations resulting in entertaining chase scenes mixed with catchy musical numbers and comedic antics. This hit program spawned several spin-off series, specials, consumer products and live action films.
“Scooby-Doo, Where Are You! Volume 1: A Monster Catch” features the following four classic episodes:
“What a Night for a Knight” – On their way back from the movies, Shaggy and Scooby find the abandoned vehicle of a missing archeologist. The only thing inside is a mysterious suit of black armor that comes to life!
“Hassle in the Castle” – While sailing with Scooby-Doo and Shaggy, the gang collides with a mysterious ship that has no crew and leads them to an island where they come face-to-face with a dangerous phantom.
“A Clue for Scooby-Doo” – While surfing, Scooby-Doo meets the seaweed-covered ghost of Captain Cutler, an evil creature responsible for the disappearance of many ships.
“Mine Your Own Business” – Thanks to Shaggy reading a map upside-down, the gang finds itself in an abandoned mining town where they see a 150-year-old miner and his burrow disappear into thin air.
