“Scooby-Doo, Where Are You!” first debuted during CBS’ Saturday morning lineup and became an instant hit. The series follows the adventures of four teenagers, Daphne, Fred, Shaggy, Velma, and their lovable but cowardly Great Dane, Scooby-Doo, as they solve cases and crimes which usually involve ghosts, monsters or other supernatural forces. The super-sleuth gang always travels to their escapades in their stylish, signature van, the Mystery Machine. High-jinks always ensue, with their investigations resulting in entertaining chase scenes mixed with catchy musical numbers and comedic antics. This hit program spawned several spin-off series, specials, consumer products and live action films.
“We felt this remarkable animation classic deserved to be recognized with a collector’s edition release that is just as special as the series itself,” said Amit Desai, WHV Vice President of Family, Animation & Partner Brands Marketing. He added, “Our goal was to create a collection that would impress and excite ‘Scooby-Doo’ fans. We anticipate this release to be a big hit this holiday season.”
