Warner Home Video Introduces Deluxe New “Two-Disc DVD Special Editions” Double-Discs Of Five Great Classics
(July 8, 2002 – Burbank, CA) - Warner Home Video (WHV) is taking its best-selling and most collectable films from its library and giving them special deluxe treatment on DVD.
On September 24, WHV introduces the first titles in its new line of “Two-Disc DVD Special Editions.” Remastered with all-new digital transfers and rich with extras such as extensive commentaries, documentaries, and never-before-seen extended and deleted scenes, the double-disc titles will feature distinctive slipcase packaging and will be priced at $26.99 SRP/$19.95 MAP.
The first titles in this initiative include three Best Picture Oscar® winners, “Amadeus Director’s Cut,” “One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest” and “Unforgiven” (10th Anniversary Edition), plus “Singin’ in the Rain” (50th Anniversary Edition) and “True Romance Unrated Director’s Cut,” as well as repricings of “Citizen Kane” (60th Anniversary Edition) and “Doctor Zhivago.”
