Warner Home Video’s Releases “CHiPs: The Complete Second Season” On June 3, 2008

(March 11, 2008 – Burbank, CA) – With nearly 140 episodes under their “belts,” Frank “Ponch” Poncherello and Jon Baker are back with their aviator glasses and polyester beige uniforms when Warner Home Video (WHV) releases “CHiPs: The Complete Second Season” on June 3, 2008 for $39.98 SRP. The comedic crime drama asks you to dig out your license and registration as Erik Estrada and Larry Wilcox return as Ponch and Jon to patrol the streets of Los Angeles. “CHiPs: The Complete Second Season” includes all 22 episodes from the second season plus all-new bonus features in a 4-disc collection. Order due date is April 29, 2008. Created by Rick Rosner for NBC, “CHiPs” starred the trouble-prone “Ponch,” and the more level-headed Jon, as members of the California Highway Patrol – hence the name “CHiPs.” The show was the perfect mix of spectacular stunt car crashes and a showcase of the pair’s glamorous SoCal lifestyle. Many of the episodes were also marked by Ponch’s attempts to impress the ladies with his athletic prowess, only to fail, leaving Jon and everybody else around them with a hearty laugh. Erik Estrada’s role as “Ponch” was monumental as he was one of the first Latinos to play a policeman on the small screen. The cultural relevance of the show, the authentic 1970s nostalgia, and the action packed stunts have even inspired an all new feature film expected to be released in early 2009. “We are very excited to bring America’s favorite 1970s crime-fighting duo back to DVD,” said Rosemary Markson, WHV Vice President, TV & Special Interest Marketing. “The first season DVD release of ‘CHiPs’ was a great success with the fans and we are proud to release ‘CHiPs: The Complete Second Season’ for those craving a bit more ‘Ponch’ in their lives.” In addition to the entire second season, complete with 22 full episodes, “CHiPs: The Complete Second Season” includes fantastic special features: • The “Real CHiPs” with never-before-seen Erik Estrada interviews
• “The Great Adventures of CHiPs” – a 2-hour special episode (original air date: 5/12/79) that takes a look back at the first two seasons of this beloved show About Warner Home Video With operations in 90 international territories Warner Home Video, a Warner Bros.
