Warner Bros. Pictures And The Tribeca Film Institute To Screen “Analyze That” For Troops At MacDill Air Force Base
(November 27, 2002 – Burbank, CA) – Warner Bros. Pictures and the Tribeca Film Institute will join General Tommy R. Franks in hosting a special advance screening of the new comedy “Analyze That” at MacDill Air Force Base in Tampa, Florida, December 4, for 1,500 troops and military personnel.
“Analyze That” star Robert De Niro and producer Jane Rosenthal, co-founders of the Tribeca Film Institute, will be joined at MacDill by Tribeca Film Institute co-founder Craig Hatkoff; Bob Kimmit, Executive Vice President, Global and Strategic Policy, AOL Time Warner; and Brad Ball, Executive Vice President, Domestic Corporate Marketing, Warner Bros.
The “Analyze That” preview will be the first in a series of screenings that the Tribeca Film Institute has planned for select military installations in the U.S. and abroad in coming years. As part of that effort, Warner Bros. Pictures has also offered prints of “Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets” for December 7th and 8th screenings at MacDill Air Force Base.
The idea for the Institute’s ongoing screening program was inspired during Fleet Week last May when General Franks was honored in New York by the Intrepid Museum Foundation. Earlier this year the Tribeca Film Festival, produced by the Institute and also co-founded by De Niro, Rosenthal and Hatkoff, was launched to celebrate New York City as a major filmmaking capital and to contribute to the long-term recovery of lower Manhattan after September 11, 2001.
Prior to the December 4th special screening, De Niro and members of the Base touring party will meet members of Central Command as well as Defense Department officials, tour the Command and have an opportunity to interact with some of the dedicated men and women based at MacDill who are involved with the nation’s defense efforts in Afghanistan and elsewhere.
In “Analyze That,” De Niro and Billy Crystal reprise their starring roles from the 1999 international comedy hit “Analyze This,” as stressed-out mafia don Paul Vitti and his anxious psychiatrist Ben Sobel. The film also stars Lisa Kudrow, Joe Viterelli and Cathy Moriarty-Gentile and opens nationwide December 6th.
Warner Bros. Pictures presents, in Association with Village Roadshow Pictures and NPV Entertainment, a Baltimore Spring Creek Pictures, Face / Tribeca Production of a Harold Ramis Film: Robert De Niro, Billy Crystal, Lisa Kudrow and Joe Viterelli star in “Analyze That,” also starring Cathy Moriarty-Gentile. Directed by Harold Ramis and produced by Paula Weinstein and Jane Rosenthal, “Analyze That” is written by Peter Steinfeld and Harold Ramis and Peter Tolan.
