Warner Bros. International Television Distribution Teams Up With CME Media Enterprises B.V. On New Programming Volume Deal With Nova TV In Croatia

International Television Distribution (WBITD) and Central European Media Enterprises (CME) have teamed up on a new programming volume deal for Croatia in which CME’s Nova TV network will become WBITD’s free television partner in the country. The announcement was made today by Jeffrey R. Schlesinger, President, Warner Bros. International Television, and Petr Dvorak, Senior Vice President, Broadcasting, of Central European Media Enterprises. Under terms of the agreement, Nova TV has licensed new television programs from the 2009–10 season in the U.S., including “The Vampire Diaries,” “V,” “Human Target” and upcoming series “Pretty Little Liars” and “Rizzoli & Isles”; a slate of hit theatrical motion pictures, including Best Picture Oscar® winner “The Departed,” among others; previously released feature films and television series from the Warner Bros. Entertainment collection; and animated programming for the launch of a new Warner Bros.–branded animation block. “Nova TV has made an aggressive play for our programming slate, which includes some of the most buzzed-about new series of the season in the U.S.,” said Schlesinger. “Our TV shows and movies will be a great fit for Nova, and we are excited about this new agreement, which is one of the most significant programming deals in Croatia.” “This agreement is a major boost for our Croatian station Nova TV in terms of further strengthening our leadership position on the Croatian market,” said Dvorak.
