Warner Bros. International Television Distribution Signs Pay Television & Pay Per View Deal With TPS

(February 21, 2003 – Burbank, CA & Paris, France) - Warner Bros. International Television Distribution (WBITD) has signed a multi-year pay television and pay-per-view deal with the French television satellite platform TPS, it was announced today by Jeffrey Schlesinger, President, Warner Bros. International Television, and Emmanuel Florent, President and General Manager, TPS. Under the terms of the deal, TPS has acquired the exclusive pay television window and pay-per-view window on new theatrical productions, together with rights to a number of films, series and animated properties from WBITD’s library, which will transmit across TPS’ digital platform’s movie channels such as the premium channel TPS STAR. The deal was negotiated on behalf of WBITD by Simon Kenny, Senior Vice President, Europe; Michel Lecourt, Vice President and General Manager of French Speaking Territories; and Caroline Lang, Executive Director of French Speaking Territories, WBITD; and, on behalf of TPS, by Guillaume De Posch, deputy general manager, and Philippe Bony, TPS Cinema general manager. Films from WBITD, which will become available in Fall 2003, include titles such as “Ocean’s 11,” “Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets” and “Scooby-Doo.” The agreement also includes future series, TV movies and animation distributed by WBITD. “We’re pleased to be in business with TPS,” said Schlesinger. “We are impressed with their aggressive growth plan for the market and are certain that the addition of Warner Bros.’ titles will help achieve their goals and prove popular with their viewers.” “It’s an honor for TPS to announce to French viewers this new partnership with Warner Bros.
