Warner Bros. International Television Distribution Signs Multi-Year Free TV Volume Deal With Ukraine’s INTER TV, ICTV & New Channel
(October 11, 2006 - Burbank, CA and Kiev) – Warner Bros. International Television Distribution (WBITD) has signed a multi-year free television volume deal for Ukraine with INTER TV, ICTV and New Channel, it was announced today by Jeffrey R. Schlesinger, President, Warner Bros. International Television (WBITV); Sergey Staritsky, Chairman of the Board, INTER TV channel; Oleksander Bohutsky, General Director, ICTV; and Irina Lysenko, Chairman of Board, New Channel.
The multi-year agreement—negotiated on behalf of WBITD by Nicky Wood, Vice President, Scandinavia and Eastern Europe—builds on the Studio’s previous relationship with New Channel, represents an increased partnership between INTER TV and ICTV, and gives all three the rights to air new and classic motion pictures and television series from Warner Bros.

“ICTV is very proud to participate in a volume-deal with Warner Bros., and we hope that features and movies by Warner will please our viewers and attract additional public to our channel,” said Bohutsky.
Under terms of the deal, INTER TV, ICTV and New Channel will have rights to Warner Bros.’ feature film output, including the recent blockbusters "Superman Returns," "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" and "Batman Begins"; forthcoming features like "Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix," "Happy Feet" and more; and titles from the Studio’s extensive library, including the previous Harry Potter films and both The Lord of the Rings and The Matrix trilogies.
The three channels will also have license to premiere new Warner Bros. television series from the 2006-2007 U.S. network season, including "Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip," "The Nine," "Justice," "The Class" and "MEN IN TREES," among others. In addition, the deal allows the three channels access to the Studio’s extensive Animation library, with plans calling for INTER TV to launch a Warner Bros. animated programming block.

ICTV is the first commercial station in Ukraine, targeted at the audience 14-49, with marketshare 9%. The channel is giving professional information and entertainment to the viewers. Famous for its news blocks, political talk-shows experiments with different formats.
