Warner Bros. International Television Distribution Renews Its Free TV Deal With Turkish Television Distributor SAR-AN International

(October 4, 2004 - Cannes, France) - Warner Bros. International Television Distribution (WBITD) has signed a new, multi-year free television deal with the Turkish television distributor SAR-AN International, it was announced today by Jeffrey R. Schlesinger, President, Warner Bros. International Television, and Alan K. Saran, Vice President, SAR-AN International. Under the terms of the deal, which was negotiated on behalf of WBITD by Jose “Pepe” Abad, Senior Vice President, Southern Europe and Juan Mayne, Director of Sales, Greece, Turkey & Cyprus, Warner Bros. International Television Distribution, SAR-AN has acquired the broadcast rights to a number of films, series and animated properties from WBITD’s library and will license these properties to various Turkish broadcasters. Among feature films included are “Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone,” “Harry Potter and Chamber of Secrets,” “The Last Samurai,” “Matrix Reloaded,” “Matrix Revolutions,” and “Ocean’s Eleven.” The animated series include “Duck Dodgers” and “Baby Looney Tunes.” “We are very pleased to be continuing our mutually-beneficial relationship with SAR-AN International,” said Schlesinger. “Our films and television series have performed well for their Turkish broadcasters and we hope that this trend will continue with the upcoming programs included in this deal.” “We have very good synergy with Warner Bros., and we are very pleased to continue working with them.” said Saran.
