Warner Bros. International Television Distribution And NonStop Television Make A Pact To Entertain Viewers In Scandinavia, Via A Deal For 50 Feature Films And TV Series To Air On Showtime And TNT7
(April 26, 2011 – Stockholm, Sweden and Burbank, CA) – NonStop Television AB and Warner Bros. International Television Distribution have made a pact to entertain viewers in Scandinavia via a new agreement giving NonStop’s Showtime and TNT7 channels the rights to an expansive slate of theatrical motion pictures and television series from WBITD. The deal was announced today by Ignas Scheynius, CEO, NonStop Television and Managing Director Turner Broadcasting System Nordic and Baltic, and Jeffrey R. Schlesinger, President, Warner Bros. International Television.
Under terms of the recently closed multiyear deal, Showtime and TNT7 have acquired a package of more than 50 feature films and television shows from the Warner Bros. Entertainment collection — including titles such as “The Exorcist,” “The Witches of Eastwick,” “Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip” and more — beginning immediately.
“The deal with Warner Bros. is yet another step in strengthening our line up for TNT7 and Showtime. Our channels are now loaded with great content for 2011 and 2012,” said Ignas Scheynius.
”We are happy to be supporting Turner’s new partners in Scandanavia with this line up of films and TV series,” said Schlesinger. ”We look forward to helping these channels grow with our programming in the future.”
