My Dad Says” and “The Paul Reiser Show” • Rebroadcast rights to “Two and a Half Men” • Additional series from the Warner Bros. My Dad Says’ and ‘The Paul Reiser Show’ round out what we think is the best slate of comedies any studio has to offer.” Chojnacka-Maścianica added, “This new agreement is a part of our ongoing growth strategy to become the leading entertainment channel in Poland, providing audiences with the very best comedy content. This strategic partnership will ensure a steady supply of top-rated comedy series for Comedy Central Poland viewers, and we are sure that new U.S. hit shows such as ‘The Middle,’ ‘Mike & Molly,’ ‘Better with You’ and ‘$#*! My Dad Says,’ together with established hits like ‘Two and a Half Men,’ will further strengthen Comedy Central Poland’s position as THE comedy destination for Polish viewers.” • “The Middle”: Emmy® Award winner Patricia Heaton (“Everybody Loves Raymond”) stars in this critically acclaimed sitcom about raising a family and lowering your expectations. Middle-aged, middle class and living in the middle of the country, this harried wife and working mother of three uses her dry wit and sense of humor to try to get her family through each day intact. “The Middle” debuts on Comedy Central Poland in spring 2011 and returns for a second season in the U.S. on 22 September 2010, airing Wednesdays at 8 p.m. on ABC. • “The New Adventures of Old Christine”: Emmy® Award winner Julia Louis-Dreyfus (“Seinfeld”) stars as divorced working mom Christine Campbell, who is forever trying to juggle the daily stresses of motherhood, her business and keeping her young son in a posh private school. She gets along with her charming ex-husband even better than when they were married, but her life has gotten a lot more complicated with Richard’s new girlfriend around: a nice, young, impossible-to-hate woman also named Christine … the “new” Christine. When “old” Christine realizes that Richard is moving on with his life, it dawns on her that maybe it’s time for her to take that same leap. “The New Adventures of Old Christine” recently concluded its five-season run on the CBS Television Network in the U.S., with star Louis-Dreyfus receiving her fifth straight Emmy® nomination for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series. (She won the award after season one). “Old Christine” will debut in Poland on 20 September 2010. • “Mike & Molly”: From executive producers Chuck Lorre (“Two and a Half Men,” “The Big Bang Theory”) and Mark Roberts (“Two and a Half Men”), the new comedy “Mike & Molly” stars Billy Gardell (“My Name Is Earl”) and Melissa McCarthy (“Gilmore Girls”) in a love story about two people, ordinary yet extraordinary, who have always protected themselves and relied on their ability to laugh through life. Now, with the help of each other – and the Overeaters Anonymous meeting where they met – they are learning to open up and trust one another. The series debuts on 20 September 2010 in the U.S., airing Mondays at 9:30 p.m. on CBS, after WBITD’s “Two and a Half Men,” and will premiere in Poland in spring 2011. • “Better with You”: Created by Emmy® Award winner Shana Goldberg-Meehan (“Friends,” “Mad About You”), the new series “Better with You” is a romantic comedy focusing on three couples at various stages of their relationships. Maddie (Jennifer Finnigan – “Close to Home”) and Ben (Josh Cooke – “Committed”) have been together in a loving, committed relationship for nine years — they aren’t married, and they’re fine with that. Maddie’s younger sister, Mia (JoAnna Garcia – “Gossip Girl”), has been dating Casey (Jake Lacy – “Guiding Light”) for a mere seven weeks … and they just got engaged. The sisters’ parents, Vicky (Debra Jo Rupp – “That ’70s Show”) and Joel (Kurt Fuller – “Desperate Housewives”), have been married 35 years … with all that entails. The series premieres on 22 September 2010 in the U.S., airing Wednesdays at 8:30 p.m. after WBITD’s “The Middle,” and will have its Poland debut in spring 2011. • “$#*! My Dad Says”: The legendary William Shatner stars in this new comedy series as Ed, a 72-year-old living, breathing fountain of wisdom with the pressure of a fire hose. A thrice-divorced ex-doctor and veteran of three wars, Ed hates beating around the bush, and he dispenses his gruff wisdom to his estranged twenty-something son who has moved back into his house after being dealt a bad hand by the economy. Based on the popular Sh*t My Dad Says Twitter account, which has more than 1.5 million followers, “$#*! My Dad Says” will premiere on 23 September 2010 in the U.S., airing Thursdays at 8:30 p.m. after WBITD’s “The Big Bang Theory,” and will debut in Poland in spring 2011. • “The Paul Reiser Show”: Emmy®- and Golden Globe–nominated comedian-author-producer-actor Paul Reiser (“Mad About You”) stars in this new single-camera comedy as … Paul Reiser, a successful television star whose series went off the air a few years ago, leaving him to enjoy the quiet life at home with his lovely wife and kids, and generally mind his own business. Lately, however, Paul has been thinking that it’s time he did something new, something meaningful, but he has no idea what this next thing might be. “The Paul Reiser Show” will premiere midseason on NBC in the U.S., and will air in Poland in spring 2011. In addition to the new output, MTV Networks Poland is also licensing previously telecast episodes of “Two and a Half Men,” as well as a number of sitcoms from the Warner Bros. Entertainment collection, including “Notes from the Underbelly,” which will receive its Poland premiere on Comedy Central. • “Two and a Half Men”: Comedy Central Poland has acquired rebroadcast rights to the hit sitcom which ranks as the #1 comedy on U.S. television among Total Viewers. The series, from creators Chuck Lorre (“The Big Bang Theory,” “Mike & Molly”) and Lee Aronsohn (“The Big Bang Theory”), stars Charlie Sheen, Jon Cryer and Angus T. Jones, and returns for its eighth season on 20 September 2010, airing Mondays at 9 p.m. on CBS, and is currently on the air in Poland Monday–Friday at 8.10 p.m. (having begun airing 17 August 2010). • “Notes from the Underbelly”: Based on Risa Green’s popular novel of the same name, this ensemble comedy proves that surviving the politics of parenthood can be just as demanding as raising a child. When a competitive husband finally convinces his ambivalent wife to become pregnant, they find that their peers –particularly the other couples – are more than willing to overwhelm them with advice. The show, which takes a brutally honest look at how one couple and their friends navigate their way through the often murky waters of pregnancy and new parenthood, will premiere in October 2010 in Poland. • And more… “The Middle” stars Heaton, Neil Flynn (“Scrubs”), Charlie McDermott (“Frozen River”), Eden Sher (“Weeds”), Atticus Shaffer (“Hancock”) and Chris Kattan (“Saturday Night Live”). Television. “The New Adventures of Old Christine” stars Louis-Dreyfus, Clark Gregg, Hamish Linklater, Trevor Gagnon, Emily Rutherfurd, Tricia O’Kelley, Alex Kapp Horner and Wanda Sykes.
