Warner Bros. International Television Distribution And Austria’s ORF Sign Free Television Deal

(August 27, 2003 – Burbank, CA) – Warner Bros. International Television Distribution has signed a multi-year programming deal with Austria’s public broadcaster ORF for the Austrian Germany-speaking free television rights to a package of new and library feature films, television series and animated product. The announcement was made today by Jeffrey R. Schlesinger, President, Warner Bros. International Television, and Dr. Andrea Bogad-Radatz, Senior Vice President, Film & Series, ORF. The deal, which was negotiated by Dr. Sylvia Rothblum, Managing Director, German-Speaking, Warner Bros. International Television Distribution, and Dr. Andrea Bogad-Radatz, includes the broadcast rights to several new feature films (including “Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone,” “The Lord Of The Rings” and “Ocean’s Eleven”), as well as numerous library titles. In addition, the deal includes television series (including “Without A Trace,” “Six Feet Under,” “Witchblade” and “Fastlane”) as well as a raft of library animated product. “We’re pleased to continue our longstanding, successful relationship with ORF,” said Schlesinger. “Our product has thrived on their network and I hope that we can continue the same success for years to come.” “At the moment, from all the major studios Warner Bros.
