Warner Bros. Consumer Products Teams Up With Robert Lee Morris To Launch Fine Jewelry Collection Inspired By Dc Comics’ Legendary Super Hero, Superman
(August 10, 2006 - Burbank, CA) – Warner Bros. Consumer Products together with Robert Lee Morris, the renowned pioneer of fashion jewelry, announced today a partnership to launch a new collection inspired by one of the most universally recognized entertainment icons of all time, Superman. The collaboration will unite DC Comics’ legendary character with Robert Lee Morris to create beautifully crafted jewelry, bearing the newest version of the iconic S-Shield, based on this summer’s film, "Superman Returns."
The ultimate gift for fans of the Man of Steel, the elegant Superman collection is constructed of bold sterling silver and 18K gold pieces emblazed with the S-Shield. This limited edition collection is composed of necklaces, pendants, bracelets, rings, belts, and key chains for both men and women.
“This partnership with Robert Lee Morris is an excellent opportunity for us to expand and build on our current high-end jewelry collection,” said Karen McTier, Executive Vice President of Domestic Licensing and Worldwide Marketing, Warner Bros. Consumer Products. “The combination of Robert Lee Morris’ bold and edgy elements in their design and the iconic status of Superman will make for very unique and timeless pieces.”
This recent deal marks another chapter in Warner Bros. Consumer Products’ collaboration with Robert Lee Morris. They joined forces in the early 1990s to create multiple collections of jewelry inspired by DC Comics’ Batman and Superman. The partnership between Robert Lee Morris and DC Comics’ Super Heroes comes naturally, as the designer’s powerful style of armor-like jewelry brings to mind the bold pieces worn by the comic book legends.
“Comic books and fantasy have always been at the core of my work and being able to create truly fine jewelry around a well-known and beloved Super Hero such as Superman is very rewarding,” said Robert Lee Morris. “I look forward to this partnership and creating truly innovative and inspiring pieces.”
Price points for the collection range from $55.00 to $350.00. For more information on Robert Lee Morris’ Superman collection, digital images or jewelry for editorial use, please contact Heidi Schuster at Robert Lee Morris.
