Warner Bros. Consumer Products Names Penguin Young Readers Group Master Publishing Partner For Warner Bros. Pictures’ Upcoming Comedy Adventure, “Happy Feet”
(April 27, 2006 - Burbank, CA) – Warner Bros. Consumer Products announced today that it has awarded Penguin Young Readers Group the master publishing license for the upcoming theatrical release "Happy Feet," from Warner Bros. Pictures and Village Roadshow Pictures, scheduled to dance its way into theaters nationwide on November 17, 2006.
As part of this agreement, Price Stern Sloan, an imprint of Penguin Young Readers Group, will publish nine titles inspired by the eagerly awaited comedy adventure film in a variety of formats ranging from storybooks, coloring books, activity books and board books. The published titles will include: “Happy Feet the Movie Storybook,” “Mumble’s Journey,” “Meet the Adelies,” “Playtime for Baby Mumble,” “Friends Forever,” “Find Your Heartsong,” “Gone Fishin’,” “Chillin’ with Mumble: The Truth About Penguins” and “Happy Feet Mad Libs.” These titles are set to hit retail stores beginning in October 2006.
Additional formats are also being published in the U.S. and UK by Dorling Kindersley, a branch of the internationally renowned Penguin Group.

A comedy adventure, "Happy Feet" is set deep in Antarctica. Into the land of the Emperor Penguins where each needs a heart song to attract a soul mate, a penguin is born who cannot sing. Our hero Mumble, son of Memphis and Norma Jean, is the worst singer in the world… however, as it happens, he is a brilliant tap dancer.
With memorable characters brought to life by incredible voice talent, "Happy Feet" features music and dance sequences, as well as stunning photo-real imagery unlike any other CGI film to date. "Happy Feet" is sure to melt the hearts of moviegoers around the world!
