Warner Bros. Consumer Products Becomes Master Licensor For DC Entertainment’s Vast Licensed Publishing Portfolio

(March 28, 2011 – Burbank, CA) – Warner Bros. Consumer Products announced today that it has become the licensor for DC Entertainment’s licensed publishing business. Warner Bros. Consumer Products Global Publishing licenses the rights to numerous properties within its portfolio to publishers worldwide, allowing for the production of multiple popular formats. The vast DC Entertainment licensed publishing portfolio will prove no exception, as offerings are set to include: storybooks, novelizations, chapter books, readers, coloring, activity and sticker books, how-to-draw books, educational books and partworks. WBCP will license the DC Universe super heroes (Green Lantern, Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman), as well as MAD Magazine and Vertigo properties in partnership with DC Entertainment for books with publishers worldwide. The DC Comics properties join WBCP’s unmatched portfolio which includes Harry Potter, Looney Tunes, Scooby-Doo, Tom and Jerry, Happy Feet and many more. These efforts are separate from DC Comics publishing program.
