Warner Bros. Consumer Products Announces Promotion Of Pilar Zulueta To Senior Vice President And General Manager For Europe, Middle East & Africa Region
(June 3, 2002 – Burbank, CA) – Pilar Zulueta has been promoted to Senior Vice President and General Manager of Warner Bros. Consumer Products’ Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) licensing operation, it was announced today by Mark Matheny, Executive Vice President, International, Warner Bros. Consumer Products.
Reporting to Matheny, Zulueta will manage licensing and retail business development activities and will be responsible for driving the development of Warner Bros. Consumer Products’ business throughout the region. Working with licensees, retailers, promotional partners and Warner Bros. Consumer products offices, she will oversee regional sales and marketing initiatives as they relate to key consumer products categories including, toys, apparel and accessories, housewares, promotions, publishing, music and interactive.
The licensing portfolio Zulueta will manage in the region encompasses global entertainment brands including Looney Tunes, Harry Potter, Scooby-Doo, The Powerpuff Girls, and the DC Comics super heroes, among others.

Zulueta joined Warner Bros. Consumer Products in 1997 as the General Manager of the company’s Spain and Portugal office. In 1999, she was promoted to Vice President and General Manager of the Southern European business, which added oversight of the licensing and retail business in Italy to her responsibilities.
Prior to joining Warner Bros. Consumer Products, Zulueta held marketing and business management positions at noted companies including the RJR Nabisco Group. She holds an MBA from the Instituto de Empresa in Spain and a degree in Biochemical Science from the Autonoma University in Spain.
