Warner Bros. Consumer Products And Hard Hero Enterprises Go On The Prowl With Launch Of Official Thundercats Statue Series

(September 3, 2009 – Burbank, CA) – Warner Bros. Consumer Products (WBCP) today announced a partnership with Hard Hero Enterprises, leading producer of limited-edition licensed sculptures and statues, to produce official statues inspired by the classic cartoon “Thundercats.” This all-new product line will feature prominent hero and villain characters from the beloved 1980’s television hit. To introduce the highly anticipated collectible line, Hard Hero will initially offer a Lion-O statue, to pay homage to the leader and lord of the hero “Thundercats.” The first piece in Hard Hero’s “Classic Scale" full figure statue series, Lion-O is constructed from cold-cast porcelain, standing approximately 14” tall (1/7 scale). Following the release of Lion-O, new characters in the collection will continue to be unveiled, including, Cheetara, Panthro, Mumm-Ra and Snarf, and other heroes and villains inspired by the series. “‘Thundercats’ is a classic cartoon property which is near and dear to the hearts of many fans and Hard Hero is the ideal partner to deliver a limited edition collection befitting of these beloved characters,” said Kelly Gilmore, Senior Vice President of Global Toys and Themed Entertainment, Warner Bros. The limited edition Lion-O statue will be available to consumers in the first quarter of 2010, with an approximate SRP of $199.
