Warner Bros. Consumer Products And Firefly Mobile Dial In New Line Of Kids’ Mobile Phones Featuring DC Super Heroes And Looney Tunes Characters

(November 10, 2006 - Burbank, CA) — Warner Bros. Consumer Products and Firefly Mobile, a Chicago-based manufacturer of mobile phones for kids, announced today that they have partnered on a new line of kid’s mobile phones featuring imagery of such world-renowned characters as Tweety and DC Comics’ Superman and Supergirl. The collaboration will enable Warner Bros. Consumer Products to bring its beloved collection of properties to Firefly Mobile’s highly successful line of mobile phones for kids. Firefly phones are small and sturdy, and keep kids connected to the people that matter most. The Firefly mobile phone has only five keys, including, “mom” and “dad” speed dialing buttons, a phone book key that captures the approved calling list for kids, and Send and End keys. An emergency 911 key adorns the side of the phone. The Firefly holds up to 22 outgoing phone numbers that parents pre-program into the phone ensuring their child only calls “parent approved” numbers. On the flip side, the phone also has an optional call-screening feature that rejects all calls that are non-stored numbers that are not parent approved. The Tweety, Superman and Supergirl-themed mobile phones will be available at retail for less than $80. “Firefly Mobile has created the perfect product for cost-conscious parents who seek a safe and simple way to stay connected to their children,” says Karen McTier, executive vice president of domestic licensing and worldwide marketing, Warner Bros. Consumer Products. “Pairing our characters and properties with Firefly Mobile will further enhance the fun factor by appealing to kids who will already be delighted to have their very own mobile phone.” “Children between the ages of 6-12 are the fastest growing demographic of mobile phone users and we are excited to partner with Warner Bros. Consumer Products to offer such a unique line to these young consumers and their parents,” says Patrick Marry, CEO of Firefly Mobile. “The DC Comics’ characters, as well as Tweety, are recognized the world over and will add a fantastic dimension to our product offerings for eager young mobile users.” These character-themed mobile phones will be available in mid-November at Firefly Mobile’s online store at www.fireflymobile.com, as well as a major nationwide retailer. “As we expand our distribution into the toy aisles at major national chains, in addition to the standard store position in the wireless aisle, retailers value the variety of options that Firefly Mobile offers,” says Marry. “And the new character phones will give children more ways to personalize their Firefly.” About Warner Bros.
