Tishan Cowan Promoted To Senior Vice President And Alana Calderone Polcsa Promoted To Vice President, Branded Entertainment And New Business, Telepictures Productions
(May 25, 2011 – Burbank, CA) – Tishan Cowan has been promoted to Senior Vice President, Branded Entertainment and New Business, Telepictures Productions, and Alana Calderone Polcsa has been promoted to Vice President, Branded Entertainment and New Business, Telepictures Productions. It was announced today by Hilary Estey McLoughlin, President, Telepictures Productions, to whom Cowan will continue to report.
In her new position, Cowan will continue to oversee product integration, advertiser partnerships and branded content across multiple platforms for Telepictures’ slate of shows, including “The Ellen DeGeneres Show,” “Extra” and “TMZ.” Cowan is also focused on developing cross platform content partnerships and developing corporate initiatives within the launches of “Anderson,” a new, one-hour syndicated daily strip hosted by Anderson Cooper, and “Dr. Drew’s Lifechangers,” a daily, half-hour, studio-based show hosted by one of America’s foremost experts on addiction, relationships and medicine, Dr. Drew Pinsky, airing on the CW Network at 3 pm.
In her new post, Calderone Polcsa will continue to oversee branded integrations and new business opportunities for “The Ellen DeGeneres Show.”

Cowan joined Telepictures in 2007 as Vice President, Branded Entertainment and New Business. Before joining Telepictures, Cowan spent four years at Mark Burnett Productions as an Integrations Producer on “The Apprentice,” where she created advertiser integration episodes for brands like Unilever and GM. Prior to that, Cowan was at Microsoft, first in their emerging TV group and then at X Box where she helped develop non-gaming entertainment for Xbox and the 360 platform. Cowan also previously held the position of Director of Branded Entertainment and Strategy at TiVo.
Before joining Telepictures in 2007, Calderone Polcsa held various brand management roles at Unilever, a top tier global consumer packaged goods company. As Brand Development Manager for Caress North America, she was responsible for strategy, innovation and new media communication development, including the brand’s five year vision plan. Prior to overseeing Caress brand activation, Calderone Polcsa spent several years on the Dove Global Body Care and Personal Wash businesses, in which she led the global development and activation of new product mixes and spearheaded the creation of successful multi-platform branded entertainment to target Hispanic consumers. Calderone Polcsa brings her traditional packaged goods marketing experience to help the production teams create organic and contextually relevant integrations for Telepictures clients.
