About The Films:
“Striptease” Uncut International Version:
The pulsating, steamy world of gentlemen’s clubs, their strippers and their patrons, gets skewered in this lively crime/drama starring Demi Moore and Burt Reynolds now available in hi- def and in an extended version, never seen in theatres. The film is directed by Andrew Bergman (“Honeymoon in Vegas,” “The Freshman”) and features Ving Rhames (“Pulp Fiction”).
“9 ½ Weeks” Original Uncut Version:
Elizabeth (Basinger) is a Soho gallery worker, romantically uninvolved since a painful divorce. John (Rourke) is a wealthy commodities broker, emotionally alone no matter who he’s with. A chance meeting draws them to each other, and obsession takes them further into a mutual world of eroticism and emotional awakenings. With visual flair, director Adrian Lyne (“Fatal Attraction,” 1998’s “Lolita”) explores extremes of passion and surrender in “9 1⁄2 Weeks.” The new Blu-ray contains the original uncut version with extra footage never released in theaters.
“Disclosure”:
Sexual harassment and corporate politics provide the basis for this contemporary drama helmed by Oscar- winning director, Barry Levinson (“Bugsy,” “Rainman”). A duplicitous female executive (Moore) tries to run her ex-lover (Douglas) out of the company after he rebuffs her sexual advances. The box-office hit, which grossed more than $200 MM worldwide, also features Donald Sutherland, Caroline Goodall and Dennis Miller.
