Subway® Restaurants, Warner Bros. Consumer Products And DC Comics Team Up For "Teen Titans" Kids’ Pak® Toy Promotion

(March 3, 2004 - Milford, Conn) — Subway Restaurants, Warner Bros. Consumer Products and DC Comics are teaming up to introduce a collection of four activity-encouraging toys based on the popular television series from Warner Bros. Animation, “Teen Titans.” For this promotion, the restaurant chain has also partnered with Kids II to offer a toy premium for children 18-months through pre-school. The toys will be available in Subway Kids’ Pak meals beginning March 29 and running through May 16, 2004, at participating restaurants in the United States and Canada. Batman’s crime-fighting partner Robin and four other young super heroes fight for truth, justice and the last slice of pizza in the new hit animated series, “Teen Titans.” Get ready for the high-octane heroes of the all-new “Teen Titans” – five unstoppable teens with the power to kick some serious evil. Presented for the first time in exciting anime-style action, Robin (the legendary Boy Wonder) leads his new allies, Cyborg, Beast Boy, Starfire and Raven in a monumental quest to protect Earth, while battling the unpredictable attitudes of being teenagers. Ruled by their need to do what’s right, this band of explosive personalities does their best to cast aside their differences and defends a world that desperately needs their help. The show, which is produced under the guidance of Emmy Award® winner Glen Murakami, leverages the popularity of DC Comics Super Heroes in a distinctive, cool animated style. The Subway Kids’ Pak meal consists of a deli-style sandwich, a Minute Maid 100% juice juice-box and a Fruit Roll-Ups fruit snack. Additionally, one of the following toys will be available with each meal: Birdarang Badminton — Play Paddle Badminton with this cool disc shaped paddle, and "birdie" that is molded with the Teen Titans characters on it. Comes with 1 paddle and one "birdie." Cyborg Sonic Blaster — This is baseball Teen Titans style! You get a ball and a small bat- you can play the regular way, and hit the ball with the bat, or you can use the special Titanball function and pop the ball off of the end of the bat by slamming the accordion handle! Go Clip — A cool real metal clip with a Teen Titans tag attached. Wear it on your belt or your backpack! T-Communicator Launcher — You’ve never played hopscotch like this! Strap the disc launcher onto your wrist and let the disc fly to start the game! It's an all-in-one Teen Titans hopscotch kit. Get some chalk to draw your board and there is a place to store it in.
