Southpole Clothing Teams Up With Warner Bros. Consumer Products To Launch Exclusive New Studio Line Featuring Looney Tunes Characters
(January 7, 2002 – Burbank, CA) - SOUTHPOLE Clothing announced today that they are teaming up with Warner Bros. Consumer Products to introduce an exclusive new collection of young men’s urban sportswear called STUDIO by SOUTHPOLE, featuring the Looney Tunes characters.
STUDIO by SOUTHPOLE made its Holiday 2001 season debut in upscale specialty and department stores nationwide. The initial line offering consists of fashion-forward sweaters with non-traditional applications and core denim bottoms featuring the Looney Tunes characters’ - Daffy Duck, Bugs Bunny, Sylvester, and Wile E. Coyote; with more characters to follow. In Spring 2002, the collection expands to include more novelty denim bottoms, short sleeve sweater knits, premium button-down woven shirts, and special application t-shirts.
The STUDIO line, which is exclusive to Warner Bros.’ characters, will fill a void in the urban young men’s market by incorporating these highly recognized cartoon characters into a fashion-forward sportswear line and offering it at an accessible price. Retail price points range from $26 for specialty T-shirts to $180 for velour sets.
