Sinatra Classics Debut On DVD In Anticipation Of “Ocean’s 11” December Feature Film Release
(September 5, 2001 – Burbank, CA) – Warner Home Video (WHV) gets a kick out of bringing the ring-a-ding style of those crazy cats, the Rat Pack, to DVD on November 20. The epitome of cool, Frank Sinatra and the Rat Pack made movies that provide a rare glimpse inside their hipper-than-hip world. The release of “Ocean’s 11,” “4 for Texas” and “Robin and the 7 Hoods” is timed to capitalize on the excitement generated by this December’s eagerly awaited theatrical release of the “Ocean’s 11” remake, directed by Steven Soderbergh and starring George Clooney, Brad Pitt, Julia Roberts and Matt Damon. These three titles join HBO Home Video’s “The Rat Pack,” starring Ray Liotta and Don Cheadle, currently available on VHS & DVD.
The WHV Rat Pack classics will be released for the first time on DVD and will also be available on VHS with new, distinctive packaging. A portion of the proceeds of DVD sales from “Ocean’s 11,” “4 for Texas” and “Robin and the 7 Hoods” will be donated to the Barbara Sinatra Children's Center in Rancho Mirage, Calif. The Center has been a medical safe haven for sexually, physically and emotionally abused children since Barbara and Frank Sinatra opened the nonprofit facility in 1986.
Rat Pack classics “Ocean’s 11,” “4 for Texas,” “Robin and the 7 Hoods,” as well as HBO Home Video’s “The Rat Pack,” are each priced to own at $19.98 SRP on DVD and $9.94 SRP on VHS.
With operations in 78 international territories – more than the video division of any other studio – Warner Home Video commands the largest distribution infrastructure in the global video marketplace. WHV’s film library is the largest of any studio, offering top quality new and vintage titles from the repertoires of Warner Bros.
