Shaley Brooks Joins Warner Bros. Motion Picture Imaging As Television Colorist

(January 20, 2010 – Burbank, CA) – Shaley Brooks has joined Warner Bros. Motion Picture Imaging as a Television Colorist, it was announced today by Dan Crane, Vice President & General Manager, Motion Picture Imaging, Warner Bros. Advanced Media Services. Brooks will service Warner Bros. Studios and third party television clients, working on such titles as Warner Bros. Television’s “The Mentalist.” He’ll work with Augie Melendez, Director, Post Production at MPI, who oversees the first-run television services operation. “As MPI’s television department has grown over the years, we’ve been committed to building a team of top talent,” said Crane. “Shaley is a seasoned colorist with a solid résumé of television credits and two decades’ experience in the post production arena, and we’re pleased to have him as a key member of the MPI team.” Brooks has more than 50 episodic television and television movies to his credit, including “Desperate Housewives,” “How I Met Your Mother,” “Friends,” “ER” and “Battlestar Galactica.” He was most recently a Telecine Colorist at Modern Videofilm’s Burbank facility for nearly 10 years, working on episodic television shows, feature films and music videos. Before that, he was a Telecine Colorist at Four Media Company as well as Anderson Video, where he worked his way from an engineer to a Telecine Colorist. Brooks also designed and launched the first Telecine bay in Rio de Janeiro at Estudios Mega, where he also served as a colorist for various short and feature films, commercials and music videos.
