Sesame Workshop And Warner Home Video Release “Preschool Is Cool: ABCs With Elmo” On DVD July 6, 2010
(May 17, 2010 – Burbank, CA) – Get ready to join Elmo and Grover in some alphabet fun as Warner Home Video (WHV) and Sesame Workshop, the nonprofit educational organization behind Sesame Street release “Preschool is Cool: ABCs with Elmo,” on DVD July 6, 2010 for a SRP of $14.98. As the first DVD title in Sesame Street’s new series, “Preschool is Cool, ABCs with Elmo” is the perfect tool to help your little preschooler learn the alphabet in a fun and engaging way. Order due date is June 1, 2010.
In “ABCs with Elmo,” Grover acts as the preschool teacher, Professor Grover, and Elmo is his helper for today’s alphabet lesson! But before Professor Grover begins class, he instructs his students, with his classic Grover charm, to find one thing that begins with each letter of the alphabet. Featuring alphabet themed stories and songs, early literacy skills are reinforced while kids become familiar with letter-sound relationships. Kids and caregivers will find it as easy as ABC to join in the fun with their favorite furry friends in a real preschool.
“Warner Home Video is thrilled to bring families the first installment of our new Sesame Street series ‘Preschool is Cool,’” said Amit Desai, WHV Vice President, Family, Animation & Partner Brands Marketing. “Elmo and Professor Grover are helping parents introduce their children to the alphabet in a positive and enjoyable way just in time for back-to-school.”
“ABCs with Elmo” also features engaging extras such as the classic music video “African Alphabet” as well as a kid growth chart that allows children and caregivers to track their growth while learning their letters.
Celebrating its impressive 40th anniversary, Sesame Street is the longest-running program in children’s television. The series has received more Emmy awards than any other show in television history, including a Lifetime Achievement Award honoring its 40th year.
