Scooby-Doo And The Gang Come To Life For Mystery-Solving Chills And Thrills In The Debut Of “SCOOBY-DOO IN STAGEFRIGHT – LIVE ON STAGE”
(October 11, 2001 – Burbank, CA) – For the first time ever, the chicken-hearted Great Dane, Scooby-Doo, and his mystery-solving gang take center stage in a national touring live production, as Warner Bros. Family Entertainment presents “SCOOBY-DOO IN STAGEFRIGHT – Live On Stage.” Featuring everyone’s favorite characters from one of TV’s longest-running animated series, Warner Bros. Consumer Products and Clear Channel Entertainment team up to thrill theater-goers across the country, when the show kicks-off on October 26th at the Palace Theatre in Louisville, KY. Giving Scooby-Doo fans of all ages a chance to see the cast of sleuths and their comical brand of detective work on stage, the live show is scheduled to perform in 28 more cities throughout the United States and Canada, including a run at the world-famous Radio City Music Hall in New York City.
In this exciting new production, the beloved Hanna-Barbera characters -- Scooby-Doo, Shaggy, Velma, Daphne and Fred -- will take to the stage to solve a classic Scooby-Doo style mystery. The show takes the form of a “long lost episode” in which Scooby-Doo and friends solve the mystery of a supernatural specter wreaking havoc at the old Clawhammer movie studio. The gang faces one hilarious situation after another as they hunt for clues on the set of a scary movie directed by Daphne’s totally hip uncle. With crazy creatures, perplexing puzzles, and an abundance of Scooby Snacks, it’s Scooby-Doo and friends at their best, solving cases and traveling the country in their Mystery Machine.
Presented by Warner Bros. Consumer Products, produced by Clear Channel Entertainment and supported by Associate Sponsors, America Online Inc., One-A-Day® Kids and Cartoon Network, the live tour will be highlighted by a fully-integrated marketing campaign including promotional activities, on-site events, radio and television spots, print advertisements, giveaways, comprehensive public relations efforts and more.
