Salvador Viramontes Promoted To Vice President Of Latin American Licensing For Warner Bros. Consumer Products
(July 31, 2002 – Burbank, CA) – Salvador Viramontes has been promoted to Vice President of Latin American Licensing for Warner Bros. Consumer Products, it was announced today by Mark Matheny, Executive Vice President, International, Warner Bros. Consumer Products.
Viramontes most recently served the Division as General Manager of the Warner Bros. Consumer Products office in Mexico.
Reporting to Matheny, Viramontes will oversee the development of Warner Bros. Consumer Products’ business throughout Latin America and manage all key properties in the region including the Looney Tunes, Scooby-Doo, Harry Potter, DC Comics and all Hanna-Barbera and Cartoon Network properties. Additionally, he will be responsible for supervising all of Warner Bros. Consumer Products’ regional offices and local agent representatives in
Latin America.
Viramontes’ duties will include development of a strategic sales and marketing plan for products and promotional third party tie-ins, as well as defining new market entry strategies, brand development strategies, business structure, operating structure and performance scenarios. He will also lead the development of integrated marketing efforts for Warner Bros. Consumer Products’ licensed programs throughout Latin America.

Viramontes joined Warner Bros. Consumer Products in 1999 as General Manager of the division’s Mexico office. Before joining Warner Bros. Consumer Products, he held positions at SC Johnson Wax, The Quaker Oats Company, Best Foods Corporation and The Gillette Company. Viramontes holds an MBA degree from the Anderson School of Business at UCLA and a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing from the Instituto Tecnologico de Monterrey in Mexico City.
