Polly Cohen Named Senior Vice President, Production, At Warner Bros. Pictures

(November 12, 2003 – Burbank, CA) – Polly Cohen has been promoted to Senior Vice President, Production, at Warner Bros. Pictures. The announcement was made by Jeff Robinov, President, Production, Warner Bros. Pictures. Cohen moves up from her previous post at the Studio as Vice President, Production. Among the films she is currently working on are “Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban,” “Starsky and Hutch,” starring Ben Stiller, Owen Wilson and Snoop Dogg; “Catwoman,” starring Halle Berry; and “Scooby Doo II: Monsters Unleashed.” Other movies with which she has been involved at Warner Bros. Pictures include the first two Harry Potter films, “Gothika,” “Scooby Doo,” “Divine Secrets of the Ya-Ya Sisterhood,” “Analyze This” “Analyze That,” “Three Kings” and “A Perfect Storm.” “Polly is a great executive,” said Robinov. “Her ability to work on a number of movies simultaneously really makes her a great resource on our team and I am happy to acknowledge her contributions with this well-deserved promotion.” Cohen joined Warner Bros. Studios in 1997 as a Creative Executive and was named a Production Executive in 1998. In 1999 she became Vice President, Production. Earlier, while she was a graduate student in USC’s Peter Stark Production Program, Cohen worked for Warner Bros. Pictures as a production management trainee. Upon obtaining her MFA, she joined Jersey Films, where she spent two years as a creative executive, working on such movies as “Out of Sight” and “Living Out Loud.” Cohen received her undergraduate degree from the University of California at San Diego in Chinese Studies and worked as a language consultant in Southeast Asia before entering the entertainment industry.
