Philippe Erwin Appointed Vice President Of Interactive Entertainment For Warner Bros. Consumer Products

(December 5, 2001 – Burbank, CA) – Philippe Erwin has been appointed Vice President of Interactive Entertainment for Warner Bros. Consumer Products, it was announced today by Mark Matheny, Executive Vice President, International, for Warner Bros. Consumer Products. Reporting directly to Matheny, Erwin will be responsible for guiding the overall sales and marketing initiatives related to the use of Warner Bros.’ content in interactive media. Erwin’s team will also be responsible for managing the development and production approval processes for each partner. His focus will be on current and next generation video game consoles, including PlayStation 2, Gamecube, Xbox, Game Boy Advance and PC. Erwin will also work with Warner Bros.’ New Media to extend Warner Bros. interactive gaming strategies to wireless, online and other digital platforms. In addition to overseeing all relationships with existing licensees, Erwin will be responsible for identifying new properties and companies suitable for partnerships within the interactive media community. In an effort to work more closely and creatively with partners and licensees, Erwin will develop and implement a technology plan and infrastructure that allows the company to more efficiently generate digital gaming assets. “Philippe is a strategic thinker and his wealth of expertise and compelling background in the world of interactive media will make him an integral member of our team and an overall asset to our company,” said Matheny. “We are thrilled that he has joined our highly successful and experienced Interactive Entertainment group and are confident that his strong working knowledge of this industry, coupled with his excellent leadership skills will help expand our interactive entertainment business.” Before joining Warner Bros. Consumer Products, Erwin held positions at Universal Interactive Entertainment, Activision and Loeb & Loeb. He holds a DESS from the Universite Paris II Pantheon Assas, a J.D. from Boston College Law School and a B.S. in Physics from the University of Rochester. Warner Bros.
