Paula Allen Promoted To Vice President Of Worldwide Publishing For Warner Bros. Consumer Products

(December 11, 2001 – Burbank, CA) – Paula Allen has been promoted to Vice President of Worldwide Publishing for Warner Bros. Consumer Products, it was announced today by Mark Matheny, Executive Vice President International, for Warner Bros. Consumer Products. Reporting to Matheny, Allen will be responsible for all aspects of worldwide book, magazine and children’s music publishing. She will guide the worldwide licensing strategy, oversee the development of new editorial content and provide sales direction for all forms of editorial publishing and children’s music to Warner Bros. Consumer Product’s U.S. and International offices. Additionally, she will negotiate strategic, long-term licenses. “Paula’s considerable creative talents and dedication have made her a key member of the publishing team since she joined the company six years ago,” said Matheny. “Her excellent leadership qualities and outstanding relationships will continue to make Paula an asset to the division.” Allen joined Warner Bros. Consumer Products as Manager of Publishing Sales in 1994 and was later promoted to Director. She is among the team credited with reinvigorating the division’s publishing program through the development of appealing creative content and through new publishing relationships. Allen began her career at Barnes & Noble Bookstores in 1979 while still in college and worked her way up the ranks to Divisional Merchandise Manager for Juvenile and Non-book Products for the Barnes & Noble group of stores including B. Dalton Bookseller, Bookstop, Bookstar and Scribner’s Bookstores. She holds a B.A. in Broadcast Journalism from Western Washington University in Bellingham, Washington. Warner Bros.
