Only On The Web: “Nikita” Fans Can Log On For Sneak Peek Of Series’ New Episodes At www.lafemmenikita.com
(December 12, 2000 - Burbank, CA) - Geared especially to the incredibly loyal Internet fans who helped bring the cult hit “La Femme Nikita” back for a final eight episodes (premiering on USA Network on Sunday, January 7, 2001, 10:00 pm ET/PT), a Web-only “Nikita” communique debuts December 13 at www.lafemmenikita.com (as well as on WarnerBros.com and Entertaindom.com). This five-minute live-action transmission will feature an online preview of the new episodes, incorporating clues, insights, plot layers and character information not available on television, while providing an insider’s view of upcoming episodes.
Designed as a bridge between the series’ last season and the new original episodes, the online short explores secrets about Nikita’s identity, questions about her past and future, and her changing relationship with her employer, “Section One” (a top-secret technology-laden government organization). This only-on-the-Web experience, along with a newly redesigned show site, cast biographies, photo galleries and video show clips, will prepare viewers for the highly anticipated continuation of the series.
Edward Woodward (“The Equalizer”) joins series star Peta Wilson for the new episodes. “La Femme Nikita” is produced by Fireworks Entertainment and distributed by Warner Bros. Television. Jay Firestone is the executive producer, Robert Cochran and Joel Surnow are the executive consultants, and Jamie Paul Rock serves as producer of the series. The series made its debut on USA Network in January 1997. # # #
