NCM Fathom Events, Turner Classic Movies and Warner Home Video Announce ‘Singin’ in the Rain’ 60th Anniversary Encore Event” in Select U.S. Locations

(August 6, 2012 – Centennial, CO) – Gene Kelly laces up his dancing shoes once again for a special big screen encore of “Turner Classic Movies (TCM) Presents ‘Singin’ in the Rain’ 60th Anniversary Encore Event” on Wednesday, Aug. 22 at 7:00 p.m. local time, with special matinees in select theaters. Presented by NCM Fathom Events, Turner Classic Movies and Warner Home Video, the initial “Singin’ in the Rain” event played to packed theaters across the country on July 12 through NCM’s exclusive Digital Broadcast Network. Warner Home Video released “Singin’ in the Rain” 60th Anniversary Edition, featuring a 3-disc limited and numbered gift set that includes the remastered feature on both Blu-ray and DVD and a brand new documentary, “Singin’ in the Rain: Raining on a New Generation.” This new edition is presented in a 48-page hard cover commemorative book and contains reproductions of the original theatrical door panel displays from the film’s premier and a full-size commemorative umbrella.
