Michael Brown Promoted To Vice President, International Retail Business Development For Warner Bros. Consumer Products
(July 29, 2003 – Burbank, CA) – Michael Brown has been promoted to Vice President of International Retail Business Development for Warner Bros. Consumer Products, it was announced today by Bruce Marshall, Senior Vice President, International Retail Business Development for Warner Bros. Consumer Products.
“In his new role, Michael will continue to grow retail business development throughout the Asia Pacific Region while expanding direct-to-retail and authorized licensed retail initiatives on a global level,” Marshall said. “Utilizing Michael’s substantial experience, the International Retail Business Development team will create and implement strategic plans for the positioning of each property in different territories.”
Reporting to Marshall, Brown will direct the development of tactical goals for retail business development of properties and licensed products throughout Greater China, South East Asia, Korea, Japan, Australia and New Zealand. Brown will also create a strategic approach to product sell-through across global regions, as he builds and maintains relationships with key retailers, merchandisers and promotions agents.
Previously, Brown served as Director of International Retail Business Development, Asia Pacific for Warner Bros. Consumer Products. He had the responsibility of creating and implementing a licensed retail business strategy throughout Asia. After joining Warner Bros. in 1993, as General Manager of Warner Bros. Studio Stores in Hawaii, he excelled as the Director of Operations for Studio Stores in Japan and the Asia Pacific region.
Prior to Warner Bros. Consumer Products, Brown was General Manager of Banana Republic’s Hawaii operations. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the University of Oregon.
