Mervyn’s And Warner Bros. Consumer Products Partner For A “Pesky” Valentine’s Day Promotion
(January 23, 2002 – Hayward, CA) – Mervyn’s, a family favorite shopping destination, and Warner Bros. Consumer Products today announced that they are teaming up to introduce a new collection of Pesky Meddling Girls products in each of Mervyn’s 264 stores for a Valentine’s Day promotion. Jennifur Brandt, creator of Pesky Meddling Girls and author of the empowering book "Life is a Movie Starring You: The Pesky Meddling Girls Guide to Living Your Dreams," has worked in conjunction with key Warner Bros. Consumer Products’ licensees to design a line of apparel and accessories meant to inspire young girls and women across the country.
Mervyn’s is currently carrying Pesky Meddling Girls clothing, handbags, shoes and accessories, which will be available throughout the Valentine’s Day season. Jennifur Brandt will be making special guest appearances at two Mervyn’s stores on Saturday, February 2 in Lakewood, CA and Saturday, February 9 in Serramonte, CA, to promote the
Pesky Meddling Girls merchandise and speak to young girls, sharing her vision, creativity and positive spirit.
Local radio affiliates in both markets will be accompanying Jennifur Brandt in-store, hosting a special Valentine’s Day-themed event. As part of the Valentine’s Day promotion, a special Pesky Meddling Girls gift will be given to the first 200 visitors of the Lakewood and Serramonte stores, the day of the event. In addition, a local San Francisco radio station will be hosting an on-air promotion in the San Francisco Bay Area, giving away an autographed book from Jennifur Brandt to selected callers.

Prior to the Pesky Meddling Girls agreement, Mervyn’s and Warner Bros. Consumer Products partnered together on a successful Cartoon Network promotion in March 2001, and an exclusive licensing arrangement for Frosty the Snowman during the 2001 Holiday season.
