Matt Bierman Promoted To Senior Vice President, Production, Warner Premiere

(September 15, 2008 - Burbank, CA) – Matt Bierman has been promoted to Senior Vice President, Production, Warner Premiere, it was announced today by Diane Nelson, President, Warner Premiere. As the company moves into its third year, Bierman will continue to work closely with Nelson to shape Warner Premiere’s direct-to-DVD creative strategy. Specifically, he will be charged with overseeing Premiere’s made-for-DVD feature slate, including identifying projects and filmmakers. The company’s most recent release, “Another Cinderella Story,” hits streets tomorrow (September 16). Prior to his promotion, Bierman served as Vice President, Production. “The direct-to-consumer business continues to evolve every day, and Matt is an important part of Warner Premiere’s success in this challenging yet exciting environment,” said Nelson. “This promotion is recognition of Matt’s talent and creativity as well as the many contributions he’s made to the company since joining us. I look forward to working with him in this expanded role.” Prior to his current post, Bierman served as Vice President, Production, Warner Premiere. Before that, he was a production executive with Paramount’s DVD Premieres group, overseeing such films as “Broken Bridges,” VH1’s “Totally Awesome” and “Save the Last Dance II.” Bierman has also served as Executive Vice President, Production at Phoenix Pictures and was Senior Vice President, Production at Village Roadshow Pictures. In between working at Paramount and Warner Premiere, Bierman co-wrote and executive produced the poker comedy “The Grand,” directed by Zak Penn, starring Woody Harrelson, Ray Romano and Cheryl Hinds. Bierman holds a bachelor’s degree in English from the University of Michigan. Warner Premiere’s production activities focus on releases that are either sequels or prequels to existing titles or brands in the Warner Bros. library; titles that expand the storyline of projects currently in production on the Studio’s feature slate; or projects that leverage an established creator, talent, character or brand equity.
