Marc Choper Appointed Senior Vice President, Business Development For Warner Bros. Consumer Products
(April 18, 2002 – Burbank, CA) – Marc Choper has been appointed Senior Vice President, Business Development for Warner Bros. Consumer Products, it was announced today by Dan Romanelli, President, Warner Bros. Worldwide Consumer Products.
Reporting to Romanelli and coordinating with Kevin Tsujihara, Executive Vice President, Corporate Business Development and Strategy, Choper will provide a dedicated focus to strategic planning and business development for the
Consumer Products division. Rounding out the division’s strong executive team, he will work closely with the company to assess the current businesses and brands, while identifying potential new opportunities for growth.
“Marc is an experienced problem-solver who possesses a unique combination of finance, planning, operations and development skills, with demonstrated excellence in consumer products companies,” said Romanelli. “His range of business experience will help him make a significant contribution to our team and I look forward to working closely with him to further shape and grow our division.”
For Choper, who most recently served as Vice President of Corporate Projects for Warner Bros., this appointment brings him back to Warner Bros. Consumer Products, where he began his tenure at the studio in 1995, as Vice President and General Manager for the Sourcing Division. In this role, he was responsible for launching the Sourcing business and overseeing its worldwide growth. In 1997, Choper joined the Warner Bros. Corporate team as Vice President, Corporate Projects.
Prior to joining Warner Bros., Choper gained significant experience at The Walt Disney Company including a variety of roles within their Consumer Products Division among them, Director of Planning and Development and Director of International Marketing. Choper holds an MBA from the University of California, Los Angeles and a BA in Economics from the University of California, Santa Barbara.
