Lisa Avent Named Vice President Of Worldwide Marketing For Warner Bros. Consumer Products

(July 5, 2005 - Burbank, CA) – Warner Bros. Consumer Products announced today that Lisa Avent has been named Vice President of Worldwide Marketing for Warner Bros. Consumer Products. In her new position, Avent will handle all facets of marketing related to the Looney Tunes and DC Comics brands. Additionally, she will oversee the regional marketing responsibilities for Latin America and Asia/Pacific. Avent joins Warner Bros. Consumer Products after seven years with Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer (MGM), where she led the Worldwide Licensing and Retail Development department. While at MGM, she developed and launched the highly successful "Pink Panther" film and classic licensing program. Her licensing career also includes senior management positions at 20th Century Fox Licensing and Merchandising, Sony Signatures, Mattel Toys, and Nelvana Communications. Avent played a pivotal role in the success of properties including MGM Classics, "Babar," and "The Simpsons." Avent began her career in the advertising agency business. In 1984, she was provided the opportunity to become a member of the 1984 Los Angeles Olympic Organizing Committee, which introduced her to the world of licensing proprietary properties. Avent holds a bachelor’s degree from California State University, San Jose. Warner Bros. Consumer Products, a Warner Bros.
