Kids’ WB! In December — The Place To Be - Holiday Episodes For Kids To See
(November 25, 2002 – Burbank, CA) — Kids’ WB! kicks-off the holiday season with more “Yu-Gi-Oh!” during the weekday line-up, effective Monday, December 2. The schedule will begin with “Jackie Chan Adventures” at 3:00 p.m. (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday) and the Wednesday airing of “Rescue Heroes: Global Response Team.” The animé hit “Pokémon” moves to its new 3:30 p.m. time period followed by dual episodes of “Yu-Gi-Oh!” at 4:00 p.m. and 4:30 p.m.
The network presents back-to-back episodes of four favorite hit series and the chance to win hundreds of goodies during the “Super Stuffed Saturday Sweepstakes” line-up on Saturday, December 7 (8:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. ET). The national promotion is sponsored by Kids’ WB! and the LEGO Company.
On Saturday, December 7, the double stuffed morning begins at 8:00 a.m. ET with an hour of “Jackie Chan Adventures” followed by an inner-body “Ozzy & Drix” experience from 9:00-10:00 a.m. ET. “Pokémon: Master Quest” searches for some new Poké badges for the 10:00 a.m. ET hour with “Yu-Gi-Oh!” dueling the morning from 11:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. ET.
The “Super Stuffed Saturday Sweepstakes” will offer kids the chance to win one of two hundred prizes every hour. During each hour, kids will be invited to locate the colossal clue on-air in order to be eligible to win the prize for that hour. Once the viewer knows the clue, kids may enter by logging onto www.KidsWB.com or by sending in a postcard with the “Super Stuffed Saturday Sweepstakes” answers by Tuesday, December 10. The prizes for the morning include the LEGO® Star Wars™ Jango Fett™ Slave I, the LEGO Harry Potter™ Chamber of Secrets™ set, the LEGO Star Wars Republic Gunship™ and the LEGO Bionicle™ Toa Nuva prize packs.
During the week of December 9-13, “Rescue Heroes: GRT” will take on an exciting mission by airing Monday-Friday at 3:00 p.m. To coincide with this special schedule, Kids’ WB! and Fisher-Price® will give kids the chance to win one of hundreds of Rescue Heroes™ prizes in the “Top of the Tower Win-A-Rama Sweepstakes.” Each day, the network will reveal the daily code on-air in order to be eligible to win the prize for that day. Once the viewer knows the secret code, kids may enter by logging onto www.KidsWB.com with the “Top of the Tower Win-A-Rama Sweepstakes” answers by Monday, December 16. The prizes for the week are the PowerMax™ Rescue Heroes, Voice Tech™ Rescue Heroes, Voice Tech Police Cruiser and the Rescue Heroes Body Force™.
On Saturday, December 14, Kids’ WB! invites viewers to the second annual “Holiday Sock Party,” featuring the cheeriest and smelliest of hosts – The Sock. Kids’ WB! has decked the Water Tower halls with boughs of socks. Here come Kids’ WB! stars…here come animated stars right down Kids’ WB! lane. Kids’ WB! will broadcast the Latin-flavored, over-the-top comedy “¡Mucha Lucha!” with a Spanish simulcast, beginning on Saturday, December 14 (10:30 a.m. ET/9:30 a.m. PT). The network, in conjunction with its affiliates, will provide Hispanic viewers the ability to watch the series in Spanish via Second Audio Programming (SAP). This irreverent comedy celebrates the Latin culture and explores the Mexican phenomenon known as “Lucha Libre” in the first-ever flash-animated series on broadcast television.
The network will air an encore presentation of the one-hour holiday special “Grandma Got Run Over By A Reindeer” on Monday, December 23 (4:00 p.m.). The Christmas special is based on the hit song that became a worldwide holiday phenomenon, featuring Michele Lee (“Knots Landing”) as the voice of greedy Cousin Mel and recording artist Elmo Shropshire as the narrator. # # #
