Kerrie Moriarity Named Executive Producer “Jenny Jones”

(August 9, 2000 – Burbank, CA) – Veteran daytime producer Kerrie Moriarity has been promoted to Executive Producer of “Jenny Jones,” it was announced today by Jim Paratore, President, Telepictures Productions. “Kerrie has been an integral part of ‘Jenny Jones’ since she joined us seven years ago and is more than ready to run the show on her own,” said Paratore. “Kerrie was the hands down choice to take over the helm at ‘The Jenny Jones Show,’” said host Jenny Jones. “She has been an invaluable member of our team for seven years and is responsible for many of the creative contributions that keep the show fresh and original. The staff and I heartily welcome her as our new executive producer.” Moriarity most recently served as senior producer at “Jenny Jones,” a post she was promoted to in 1995, having joined the show in 1993 as a producer. She has also served as an associate producer and producer on “Sally Jessy Raphael.” Moriarity began her career at WTAE-TV (Pittsburgh), where she started as a production assistant on the series “Pittsburgh’s Talking” and the children’s show “Cappelli & Company” before being promoted to associate producer for the station’s morning news and weekend assignment editor. "Starting its tenth season on the air on September 4, “Jenny Jones” earned a 3.2 national household rating (GAA) for the week of July 24, up 3% from the prior week and 33% from it season-to-date average (2.4). “Jenny Jones,” a River Tower production in association with Telepictures Productions, is distributed by Warner Bros. Domestic Television Distribution. Telepictures Productions is currently responsible for seven strip shows representing 28½ hours of programming per week for the syndication marketplace: “The Rosie O’Donnell Show,” “Jenny Jones,” “Queen Latifah” and, through Time Telepictures Television, “Extra,” “Change of Heart,” “Judge Mathis” and “Street Smarts” (fall 2000).
