Juli Goodwin Promoted To Executive Vice President Of Domestic Publicity, Warner Bros. Pictures

(June 30, 2011 – Burbank, CA) – Juli Goodwin has been promoted to Executive Vice President Domestic Publicity for Warner Bros. Pictures, it was announced today by Sue Kroll, President Worldwide Marketing. As the head of the domestic publicity department, Goodwin will continue to oversee the creation and implementation of publicity campaigns, encompassing national and field publicity, special events and promotions, and liaising with filmmakers, talent, and other marketing executives in support of the studio’s wide-ranging slate. She reports directly to Kroll, who stated, “Juli is an invaluable member of our marketing group. She is a smart and inventive thinker, whose sharp, strategic instincts and great perspective are always key in helping to shape our campaigns.” Goodwin was already Warner Bros. Pictures’ Senior Vice President, Publicity, when she was promoted to head up the department in February 2007. During her tenure at the studio, she has spearheaded the campaigns for many commercial and critical successes, including the top-grossing Harry Potter franchise; the Christopher Nolan-directed blockbusters “The Dark Knight” and “Inception”; and Clint Eastwood’s Oscar-winning hits “Million Dollar Baby” and “Mystic River,” to name only a few. Goodwin is currently overseeing the campaigns for such highly anticipated releases as the Harry Potter finale, Eastwood’s “J. Edgar,” “Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows,” “The Dark Knight Rises” and “The Hobbit,” among many others. Goodwin began her publicity career at Clein + White Public Relations before being named Director of Publicity at Savoy Pictures. She then went to Fine Line Features, where she was later promoted to Vice President, Publicity and Promotions. Goodwin joined Warner Bros. Pictures as Vice President, Publicity, in September 2000. She was promoted to Senior Vice President in September 2004.
