Jordan Sollitto Named Executive Vice President, Worldwide Marketing For Warner Bros. Consumer Products
(April 5, 2001 – Burbank, CA) – Jordan Sollitto has been appointed Executive Vice President of Worldwide Marketing for Warner Bros. Consumer Products, it was announced today by Dan Romanelli, President, Worldwide Warner Bros. Consumer Products.
For Sollitto, who most recently served as Chief Marketing Officer for Warner Bros. Online and Entertaindom, the appointment brings him back to Warner Bros. Consumer Products where, in 1993, he began his tenure at the studio.
“With the multitude of new cross-divisional opportunities presented within the AOL Time Warner family we need a dedicated focus to marketing and promotional efforts. Jordan’s management and expertise in entertainment and media marketing make him a natural for this position,” said Romanelli. “With the line up of franchise movies over the next five years that Warner Bros. Pictures will be distributing including “Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone;” a live-action film based on Scooby-Doo; a Looney Tunes mixed-medium theatrical film; the first theatrically-animated feature for The Powerpuff Girls; ‘The Matrix’ sequels; and the soon-to-be released comedic action-adventure film ‘Cats and Dogs,’ his dynamic creativity and successful track record in marketing will contribute significantly to the continued growth and success of our division.”
Sollitto will be responsible for the overall development and implementation of Warner Bros. Consumer Products worldwide branding, marketing strategy and promotions plans. Additionally, he will work closely with various Warner Bros. Consumer Products departments, as well as other Warner Bros. and AOL Time Warner divisions, to help maximize cross-divisional marketing and promotions efforts.

Sollitto joined Warner Bros. Consumer Products in 1993 as Director of the Latin American division and was promoted to Managing Director in 1995. In 1996, he was promoted to Vice President of Promotions and Branded Foods. From there he was elevated to Senior Vice President of Promotions and Studio Store Marketing in 1998. In January 2000, he joined Warner Bros. Online as Chief Marketing Officer.
While working in Promotions, Sollitto was a key player in the promotional tie-ins for film, TV and animation properties. Sollitto also initiated Warner Bros.' courtship of the automotive industry, resulting in a long-term alliance with General Motors and the negotiation and launch of the first-ever entertainment co-branded vehicle, The Chevy Venture Warner Bros. Edition. Sollitto was also involved in other promotional licensing efforts, such as the Warner Bros. relationship with MCI that paired Michael Jordan with the Looney Tunes characters, as well as many tie-ins with the fast food and packaged goods industries.
Before joining Warner Bros. Consumer Products, Sollitto held a variety of marketing positions at Times Mirror Corp. He holds an MBA degree from the University of California at Irvine.
