Highly Respected Digital Intermediate Colorist Maxine Gervais Joins Warner Bros. Motion Picture Imaging

(August 3, 2009 – Burbank, CA) – Highly respected digital intermediate colorist Maxine Gervais has joined Warner Bros. Motion Picture Imaging, it was announced today by Dan Crane, Vice President & General Manager, Motion Picture Imaging, Warner Bros. Advanced Media Services. Gervais joins MPI—Warner Bros.’ state-of-the-art digital post production and restoration department—and its Burbank-based team of DI colorists and will work on both Warner Bros. films as well as third-party projects. She is currently working on Warner Bros. Pictures and Alcon Entertainment’s “Book of Eli.” “Maxine is well respected in the digital intermediate arena, with her work spanning everything from independent films to studio blockbusters,” said Crane. “She is a talented artist, has keen technical skills and is able to capture the sensibilities of the filmmakers with whom she works. We’re thrilled to welcome her to the team.” Gervais joins MPI from Pacific Title and Art Studio, where she worked as a digital intermediate colorist since 2006. Prior to that, she worked in London as lead DI colorist on “Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire” and for four years before that was a technical support specialist at Montreal-based Discreet Logic, a leading developer and distributor of open-platform digital imaging processing software. Her film credits include “Orphan,” “Speed Racer,” “You Don’t Mess with the Zohan,” “Nick and Norah’s Infinite Playlist,” “The Invasion,” “Mr. Brooks,” “Nancy Drew” and the upcoming “Ninja Assassin.” Gervais holds a baccalaureate in visual art from Laval University and received a certificate in computer technology for cinema and television.
