Grant Besser Promoted To Vice President, International Commercial Marketing For Warner Bros. Consumer Products

(July 1, 2002 – Burbank, CA) – Grant Besser has been promoted to Vice President, International Commercial Marketing for Warner Bros. Consumer Products, it was announced today by Mark Matheny, Executive Vice President, International for Warner Bros. Consumer Products. Reporting to Matheny, Besser will be responsible for all international commercial marketing, ensuring that resources and sales efforts are coordinated toward furthering our international licensing programs and assisting our partners in securing additional retail presence. His duties include overseeing the development of regional and local international marketing plans, advertising strategies, trade shows and promotional events. Additionally, Besser will continue to build international marketing relationships with other divisions within the corporation and identify new international marketing opportunities. “Since Grant first joined the division, he has been a great asset to the International team, establishing effective systems, strategies and tools to better support the international marketing business throughout Warner Bros. Consumer Products,” said Matheny. “With his strong leadership skills and proven capabilities, he will certainly continue to make remarkable contributions.” Besser joined Warner Bros. Consumer Products in 1996 as Marketing Manager Worldwide where he developed worldwide marketing plans for Warner Bros. key properties and then was promoted to Theatrical Marketing Director in 1998. In 2000, Besser became Marketing Director, International Licensing where he oversaw the development of international marketing plans for all of Warner Bros. licensed properties. Prior to joining Warner Bros., Besser held key positions at Turner Broadcasting System, Inc., including Marketing Manager, Asia Pacific and Regional Manager, Latin America for Turner Licensing and Merchandising. He was educated at Emory University in Atlanta, GA, where he received a BA in Liberal Studies. Warner Bros.
