First-Ever “Teletubbies” DVD Debuts Nationwide
(May 24, 2001 – Burbank, CA) – Puppies, bunnies and Teletubbies. Children everywhere just can’t get enough of them! And, beginning August 28, 2001, these and other pre-school favorites will come together in “Baby Animals,” the first-ever Teletubbies DVD! This exclusive-to-video new Teletubbies title from Warner Home Video and PBS KIDS Home Video is designed to thrill both children and their families with special, separate DVD features for both kids and caregivers. This debut digital adventure starring Tinky Winky, Dipsy, Laa-Laa and Po will be available for $19.98 SRP, while the VHS edition of “Baby Animals” will be offered for $12.95 SRP. Teletubbies, created by Anne Wood and Andrew Davenport of Ragdoll Ltd. and marketed in North America by The itsy bitsy Entertainment Company, debuted on PBS in April 1998.
